Switching to a natural deodorant seems like a pretty straightforward decision that is even easier to execute. You simply grab the first natural deodorant from the shelves, or you make a natural deodorant subscription online so that you get regular supplies by mail.

Easy, right? Well, not quite.

The truth is, switching from your current antiperspirant to a natural deodorant is not exactly that simple. There are some things to consider to get things right, but you will make the switch for sure. It’s also essential that you don’t get deteriorated because it is not that simple.

We have assembled a list of the top five tips on how to make the switch to a natural deodorant to help you.

1. Sweat it out

Once you stop using your antiperspirant, you will start sweating more, even if you immediately find your ideal natural deodorant. The media has been selling their product, making us believe that sweating is bad. But you shouldn’t over-concern yourself with that. That’s just your body detoxing itself from the years of abuse from the aluminum within your antiperspirant that stopped you from sweating. The thing is, some studies have proven that aluminum that prevents sweating is also linked to several diseases.

After a while, you will be able to detox from all the toxins, such as aluminum, and you will sweat way less. Then, with the help of natural deodorant, things will be back in order.

2. Use apple vinegar to restore the PH of your skin

After showering, place some apple vinegar on a cotton ball and apply it to your armpit. The apple vinegar can help you restore the PH value of your skin and help eliminate any other. After applying the apple vinegar, you can apply some natural deodorant over it.

3. Mind what you wear

More than often, you shouldn’t only blame your body perspiring alone for the smell. Synthetic fabrics are capable of trapping moisture and bacteria. Because of that, we recommend that you wear natural fibers like bamboo or cotton rather than synthetic fabrics such as polyester. Natural fabrics are breathable and help the sweat to dry.

The color of your clothing is also something you should consider if you want to sweat less. The trick here is to avoid black because, as everyone knows – it heats much faster. And the more heat your clothing absorbs, the more you sweat, and vice versa.

4. Shower daily

Even if you haven’t sweat, know that you will have bacteria in your armpit. That’s why we recommend daily showers during the transition period when you are detoxing.

5. Reapply, reapply, reapply!

Unlike with antiperspirants, there is no harm from reapplying your natural deodorant during those heavy, sweaty days. Needing to reapply doesn’t necessarily mean that your natural deodorant is not effective. But it simply means that you need to kill the bacteria in your armpit before it starts developing and reproducing. If you enjoyed reading this post, please share it with your friends.
