Pune, very close to my heart , is known as the cultural capital of Maharashtra. Also known as the “Oxford of the East” because of large number of educational institutions in the city is a perfect weekend destination and moreover a city where you can get settled. Pune boasts lively nightlife, pleasant atmosphere, hill forts with panoramic views, lakes and what not. Needless to say, Pune is a happening town and the city will always keep you engaged 🙂 So guys, here are my top picks for things you can do in Pune.
Dagdusheth Temple
This is the most popular temple in Pune and it is in the heart of the city where thousands of devotees offer prayer to Lord Ganesha every day. The aura of this modern temple is incredible. The interior consists of beautifully carved paintings and perfect light decoration. Although the nearby area is crowded, but you are guaranteed to experience divine magic and peace in this temple.
Night Clubs
When sun goes down, this city goes high! Pune is a paradise for night freaks as there are plenty of pubs, bars, lounges to unwind your day. Here are some of the rocking places where you can dance your worries and relax – Penthouze Nightlife, Area 51, Hard Rock, Miami, High Spirits, Oak Lounge and the list goes on… 😉 All you girls out there, Checkout this cool party dress
Fort Hills
The best part about Pune is its geographical structure. I personally love this city for introducing me to the world of trekking. Trek to Sinhagad fort early morning to catch the sunrise or visit Kamshet or alternatively Pawna or Mulshi lake and you are in the lap of nature. There are many forts for instance – Torna, Rajmachi, Lohgad, Raigad etc in the outskirts of pune, these regions are at their best in monsoon and winter.

Shopping
Ah ..here comes my favourite part, Pune is known for its busiest and nicest markets throughout the year. Most famous places for shopping are MG Road, FC Road, Fashion Street, Tulsi Baug and Laxmi Road. And did I tell you? One can head straight to Koregoan park, Amanora Mall, Phoenix Market City for elite shopping.
Adventure
Okay .. you haven’t tried a crazy ride before? never been on a roller coaster? No worries, this city won’t let you down. There are many adventure parks in and around Pune, my personal favourites are Imagica and Della Adventure park. Adventure junkies can go for the swoop, bungee, rock rappelling, ziplining in Della and nitro ride in Imagica. Apart from rides, there are plenty of amusement and theme activities also in these parks for everyone.
So, guys, hope you have got a feel of the youth city of India. If you are in Pune, don’t miss the lip-smacking cuisines at Post 91, Village, Sukhanta, Chaitnaya and Vohuman Café😊 I can keep on writing but it’s better to explore than read 😉 to know a place completely.
