How to Avoid Camel Toe in Yoga Pants

21st June is International Yoga Day and the entire world is in celebration. Everyone everywhere will be talking about how to hold different poses and what benefits can be obtained from them. All the glorious and wonderful aspects of yoga will be at the forefront today. However, we are going to talk about something embarrassing associated with yoga, especially for all the women who practice it. We will discuss about how to deal with that dreaded clothing struggle, camel toe. As far as clothing struggles are concerned, camel toe is one of the most annoying ones to go through. It is extremely embarrassing, uncomfortable and no woman wants to struggle with it.

Camel toe is a huge fashion faux pas and no one wants to deal with it. Camel toe occurs when your clothing creates a sort of cleavage around your genitalia. Camel toe is common in tight jeans, leggings, short shorts, swimsuits and of course, yoga pants. Camel toe is caused by your clothes not fitting correctly. If your clothes are more tight in your private area, they are more likely going to create camel toe. On the other hand, if your clothes are too lose, they can also cause camel toe, as folds of lose clothing can bunch together around your private area. Here are some tips to help you avoid the dreaded camel toe in Yoga Pants

Choose the Right Clothing

According to trashn2tees.com choosing the right clothing will make the biggest difference. The reason camel toe occurs is because your clothes don’t fit your body properly.  To avoid that, choose the correct clothing. You may like wearing tight yoga pants and leggings because they accentuate the shape of your hips and make your lower body look much better. However, if you go too tight, it will not look that good, especially around your private parts. So you have to be mindful while choosing very tight clothes because if your clothes are too tight, you will, in all likelihood, experience camel toe. So choosing the right fit is key.

Choose the Right Fabric

Pants with extremely thin material around the private area could be another reason for camel toe’s appearance. Certain fabrics are more likely to cause camel toe as compared to other fabrics. Camel toe can be a major problem with more ‘stretchy’ kind of fabrics. Which makes most yoga pants and workout leggings extremely susceptible to camel toe. Since they are usually made to withstand a lot of movement and strain, they tend to be made using very ‘stretchy’ material such as spandex. Whenever you go to buy yoga pants or general workout clothing, look for extra lining in the private area. The extra lining gives an extra layer of protection and prevents you from experiencing camel toe. You should also stay away from 100% spandex material. Yoga pants which are 100% spandex are almost certain to cause camel toe. Also try to avoid yoga pants made of materials such as linen and polyester since those are also extremely prone to camel toe.

Choose Darker Colours

Darker colours such as black are more likely to conceal and hide camel toe if it occurs. A camel toe is less likely to be noticeable when the fabric is dark. If you go for lighter colours such as white and beige or bright colours like lime green and neon pink, it’s going to be much harder to hide a camel toe. If anything, those colours will make a camel toe even more noticeable. The sweat released during workouts tends to make lighter colour fabric more transparent, exacerbating a camel toe situation even more.

Pick the Correct Leggings

Leggings are something women love to wear. They are super comfortable and a lot of women love to workout in them. However, camel toe is probably the number one struggle associated with leggings and yoga pants. So when you are going to purchase leggings, keep some things in mind. Ensure that you are purchasing leggings made out of thicker fabric. If it’s extremely thin or sheer, and you can see your underwear through it, then the fabric is not thick enough. Thicker fabrics are generally of a higher quality and tend to be more durable as well. The thin, cheap fabric doesn’t only lead to more camel toe, it also becomes transparent after a few washes and tends to tear more easily. If you are wearing leggings/yoga pants in a non-workout scenario, you can wear a long sweater/shirt to cover the private area and hide a camel toe even if it occurs.

Pick the Right Underwear

This might be the most obvious of the tips to avoid camel toe but it’s also one of the most useful. Don’t go commando with your leggings. Underwear can really help prevent a vast majority of camel toe situations. Wear thicker panties, they are less likely to create camel toe since they are not going to be pulled into your private area and create camel toe. Thicker underwear also smoothens out the lines and provides more support compared to thin, lingerie style underwear which is bound to create camel toe.
