Meghan Trainor lost 20 pounds after taking control of her health! Although the media started advertising the Meghan Trainor weight loss transformation, what’s nothing short of amazing is the fact that she healthily lost her weight rather than relying on a crash diet or another unhealthy method of slimming down.

2014

Trainor shot to fame with her 2014 hit “All About That Bass,” which is about embracing her curves and loving her body no matter what her size. By 2018, she would go on to lose 20 pounds over the years.

And like the rest of us, it she fluctuated. She gained weight in 2017 and had to lose it all again in 2018. 

2017

In an interview about her weight loss 2017,  Meghan told ET in an interview last year that she likes to workout using the Focus T25 with Shaun T exercise DVDs and added that she had become “obsessed” with the workout routine as part of her new healthy lifestyle.

“It’s amazing. I bought the DVDs. I’m obsessed with it,” she stated of her then newfound love of exercise and fitness.

Towards the end of 2017 she told ETOnline.com:

“I just want to live forever, man,”…..“I wanna stay looking young forever. I stopped drinking, stopped doing anything bad to my face. I don’t want to deal with acne anymore — I’m 24, I’m over it, and I just want to live ’til I’m 106.” Just like the rest of us, she revealed it wasn’t easy — it was a struggle to lose the 20 pounds she did. “I did fluctuate and learned that the quick way, ’cause I never ever lost that much weight before. I immediately noticed, like, ‘Oh, there’s a ten back’ and then I had to lose it again. So that’s a lesson to learn.”

2018

In 2018, Meghan Trainor confessed that she “immediately noticed” when she stopped being so regimental about her diet and fitness routine after she lost a good 10 pounds! An impressive weight loss down the drains…

“I did fluctuate and learned that the quick way, because I never ever lost that much weight (10 pounds) before,” Trainor told ET of her new body, stating that she had to work hard to shed those 10 pounds all over again.

“I immediately noticed, like, ‘Oh, there’s a ten back’ and then I had to lose it again,” Meghan continued of her recent weight loss blip. “So that’s a lesson to learn.”

2019

By 2019, the Four judge explained that fitness is about more than a number on a scale. 

She’s going by how she feels. “I can’t get on that scale,” Meghan told us. “It’s like — you gain muscle weight and you’re like, ‘what’s going on?.’ So [I’m] just living life. I’m just trying to be happy and eating healthy foods. I know when I eat something bad I have a horrible stomach ache and it’s just poison. I can’t eat stuff like this!” It’s not about being some arbitrary weight — it’s about feeling her best and thriving! But looking fab is just a nice perk.
