travel ideas

Do you love vacations but are tired of doing the same thing over and over again? It’s time to break out of your vacation rut and go someplace new! Here are five unique vacation ideas you can try on your next getaway.

1. International Cruise

Going on a cruise is the ultimate relaxation vacation. When you think of cruises you may think of sailing around the Gulf of Mexico or off of California, but you can also use a cruise to experience other places in the world.

For example, if you want an exciting trip around the Mediterranean, a Best of Spain and Portugal cruise could be a fantastic adventure to go on. For a one-way excursion that lasts for nine nights, one sea day and nine ports, you will have the chance to see Lisbon, Porto, Seville, Malaga, Alicante, Valencia, Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza and Barcelona.

2. Museums in London

London is known for the amazing theatre, history down every street, lush parks and of course, the royal family. Most visitors may not realize that London is full of amazing world history museums and art museums and most of which are free! You can see incredible paintings from some of the world’s best artists, artifacts from ancient times, sculptures from all around the world, all without spending any money. Going on an amazing vacation doesn’t have to be expensive.

There is so much to see in London’s museums you could spend all day in just one and there are over 100 in the city to go to! You could take a trip to London just to explore the museums.

3. National Parks

America is full of some of the most beautiful and diverse land that can be found when visiting the nation’s National Parks. From the red rocks in Utah to the Tetons in Wyoming to the coasts of Maine, there is so much to do and explore. You can rough it by camping and going deep into the mountains or staying in hotels or cabins and keeping on the guided paths. There is something to do for everyone no matter your abilities or desires to get a little dirty.

National Parks have a lot of history and there is so much to do when you visit. Make sure to go to the guide stations and pick up information packets and read all you can about the area and wildlife. You might leave a little bit smarter than when you got there.

4. The Big Apple

New York City is a huge place with so much to do and explore. If you have been before and think you have done it all, go back and try again. You can skip the big tourist things like Times Square and The Statue of Liberty. Try taking a half-day in Central Park and bike around the park or you could do a movie tour where you can visit famous places from the big screen.

Make sure when you are there to only eat local food, nothing from a chain restaurant. Also, you can’t forget the street food. You will want to come back again and again just for the food.

5. Take the Train

Did you know that there are still passenger trains that you can ride? Taking the train is a great way to travel because you can relax and enjoy the scenery, plus it’s probably a totally new experience!

One famous train experience is the Coast Starlight. This ride travels from Los Angeles to Seattle. You will see breathtaking views of the ocean, forests and mountains and get views of some popular cities on the way.

Going on vacation is a great way to relax, but it is also the perfect time to try something new. Whether you go to a new place in the world, immerse yourself in history or just take the train, make sure to make it a great experience you will never forget.
