Last month, Lei Jun XIaomi’s CEO spotted wearing a new version of the popular low-cost wearable, Xiaomi Mi Band 3. Recently, the several reports suggested that the Xiaomi will announce the MI Band 3 at the company’s 2018 annual product launch event. The annual product launch event scheduled on 31st May in China. Now today, the company’s Senior Vice President Wang Xiang confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 will be unveiled on 31st May along with the company Xiaomi Mi 8 phone and MIUI 10.
Today, Xiaomi Senior Vice President Wang Xiang confirmed on Twitter. Before the confirmation, there were they suggested that the Mi Band 3 may launch soon. Even several reports already suggested that the company will launch the new version on the Mi Band at the end of this month.

According to the previous reports, the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 will have a touchscreen display and gesture features. It may support gesture like swiping up and down and long-press on display for performing several tasks. However, it is not clear yet whether the band will come with a color display. The band may come with more rounded screen compared to Mi Band 2.
The screenshot of the companion app suggested that it allows users to switch between notifications by tapping on the screen on the band. And there are other features also available and can accessible by swiping. There is a capacitive button for the back function, below the screen. Users can unlock the Band by swiping on it.
According to its leaked user manual, the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 may look similar to the Mi Band 2. And some reports also claimed that it will come with IP67 certified chassis and removable strap. The Band expected to come with Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC connectivity features. It will have heart rate sensor, sleep monitor and step counter health-centric feature.
There are speculations that the Chinese smartphone company may introduce the advanced Xiaomi Mi 8 SE along with original Mi 8.
