In the fourth game of the first round of the New Orleans – Portland playoff series the Pelicans make a clean sweep by taking a victory and gaining a 4-0 lead over the Trailblazers and advance to the next round.

A lot of anticipation surrounded this series, and all the games of the Pelicans vs the Blazers delivered in spades. Anthony Davis (47 points ) and Jrue Holiday (41 points) combined for 88 points in their 131-123 victory against the Portland Trailblazers. Anthony Davis showed everyone what kind of an offensive beast he can be, in this series. It couldn’t have been possible without the playoff experience brought in by Rajan Rondo who tallies 17 assists in the fourth game and showed his passing talent throughout the series.

In the second round of the playoffs New Orleans are expected to matchup with the reigning NBA Champions Golden State Warriors who currently lead the San Antonio Spurs 3-0. It will be an exciting matchup as the young Pelicans squad with the absence of Demarcus Cousins will face-off against a much more playoff experienced squad of the Warriors. The only problem for GSW right now is there MVP Stephen Curry’s injury problem but even without him the Warriors are doing pretty well against the Spurs with the help of Kevin Durant and Play Thompson. Overall its going to be an exciting matchup for the fans.
