NBA Playoffs: Ben Simmons records his first NBA playoffs Triple Double as the Philadelphia 76ers take a 3-1 lead over the Miami Heat

The young Philadelphia 76ers beat the Miami Heat 106-102 in a nail biter and take a 3-1 lead in the first round of the NBA 2017-18 playoffs behind a triple double from the expected rookie of the year Ben Simmons (17 points, 10 assists, 13 rebounds). Eight players from the 76ers squad in double digits, Veteran Shooting Guard J.J Redick had a great shooting night leading his team with 24 points.
The ‘Process’ Joel Embiid continued to impress in his second career playoff game recording triple double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Three time NBA Champion and league MVP Dwayne Wade carried the Miami Heat till the last quarter scoring 11 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter but that wasn’t enough to stop the young 76ers squad to get the win. Goran Dragic contributed with 20 points as well.

The winner of this series will be facing the winner of the Boston Celtics –  Milwaukee Bucks Series in which the Celtics are currently leading 2-1. The young squad of the 76ers are turning some heads with their playoff performances and the return of their star player Joel Embiid as fuelled their defence exponentially. The fifth game of the series will definitely be an exciting one as the Philadelphia 76ers would be looking forward to move to the next round of the playoffs at their home court whereas Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat will be fighting hard to continue their playoff run.
