Women and Society

When I was a kid I was afraid of devils but today I am afraid of the humans of society. When I was a kid I used to be afraid of the dogs of a street but today when I walk alone I get afraid from the people of the street.
I was born independent. But today I’m like a prisoner in this society. When I walk in street everyone gazes me like I am a piece of art in an exhibition. While I am walking the taunts from the people of the street makes me feel uneasy. People of the street scan me from head to foot. They judge me by my dressing style. People of the street are concerned with my walking style. I feel uncomfortable after becoming the view sight of many people. I feel like someone is pushing me into a fire and I experience this daily.
It’s a sin for me to laugh in a public place because according to logics of society ” If a girl is laughing in society, she is characterless”.
I am a just simple ordinary girl. I seek independence from society not to dance or go to bars but I want independence for living my own life in my own style. I want to be free from those eyes who gaze me daily while I am on my way to college. I want to be free from judgemental comments which I listen daily.
I want to shout and tell you that my character is not described by my dressing sense. My smile in a public place is not an indication for you to do bad with me.
Why this society is slaughtering dreams of many girls daily. Being girl is enough for many to cry daily in this society. Each and every girl of the society request the people of the society to allow them to live their lives because the way people of the society are treating them many girls don’t live they just exist! 👌

Women condition is improved much these days but still many incidents are happening day-to-day which puts a big question mark to our values and customs. We all have to condemn such things and stand with them

The sad part is – women are the worst enemies of women themselves! These so-called society rules are enforced on women by women. Nothing will ever change, until the patriarchal mindset changes!
