That Thing called Love!

Each one of us, at some point in our lives, has yearned for a fairytale romance! Cinema has ingrained in us the concept of a knight in shining armor, who will sweep his lady love, while others gasp in awe about the reunion! Come December, your heart skips a beat when you see half of the long forgotten friends on Facebook jump the marital bandwagon, while some others are still deliberating about their mysterious future.
Let us face it! Not all of us, living in the practical world anyway are going the love marriage route. What is the harm anyway, if you are married off the good old ‘Arranged Marriage’ way? Eventually, it boils down to finding love, isn’t it? I claim to be no philosopher, but this is coming straight from experience!
I know the fact that being married for two years now, does not qualify me for any kind of counseling, however, my Wife and I, fell in love then, in the courtship period itself, despite the arranged marriage set up! Love is a powerful elixir that can strike you in the most unexpected ways! Love is surprising each other with thoughtful gestures, it is taking time out for your spouse even when your schedule knocks you down and the most important thing; it is the vow to forgive and re-group even when you are fuming with rage! Does the medium of knowing each other really matter?
At this point, I am sure you are wondering whether my blog should have been renamed as ‘Love vs Arranged Marriage’, however, that is not the point anyway! Any relationship is an artwork of two respective individuals, who have to put their heart and soul to tick! Be it finding love in the blossoming college days, or falling in love after being hitched and exploring the differences; ultimately it is the divine connection that makes two individuals work towards a relationship.
When you truly love, you tend to love the differences and enjoy the similarities! It is about soothing your ego without waiting for your partner to deflate it. Eventually, it summarizes to letting your love win.
Concluding the blog I will say, All of you out there, who are perplexed about what lies in store in your destiny, be rest assured that everything will work out in a perfectly beautiful way, while those of you, who are married and loving it too, I think it is time for us to form a club of our own to describe the agony and the joy of that thing called love! After all, it has been only two years of marriage and I could use tons of advice myself! `
What are your thoughts? I would love to hear!
