Commitment phobia of B-Town celebrities

Marriages are integral part of Indian culture and society. However, with shifting of time and culture, this tradition is getting less followed. Nowadays people wait for right partner and correct time for getting married even if they pass forty or fifty. Many of them even prefer staying alone without getting married throughout their entire life. Bollywood is no exception to it. Although many celebrities have got married this year while many are planning to get married next year, there are still many B-Town celebrities who prefers staying alone as they have got commitment phobia for some or the other reasons. Let’s have a look at few of them.

Salman Khan


Salman’s name pops out at once we talk about celebrity’s marriage or while we talk about the ones who does not want to get married even after crossing forties. Salman is one of the most qualified bachelors of B-Town but sadly this actor restrains himself from getting hooked.
Salman has always been paired with Bollywood heroines like Katrina Kaif, Aishwarya Rai, Sangeeta Bijlani and her latest girlfriend in news is a Romanian model, Lulia Vantur. However, Salman has never accepted relationships in public or even said a word about getting married from any of these.
 

Sushmita Sen


Sushmita is diva of Bollywood industry in all angles. She is also former Miss Universe and a successful actress. Nevertheless, nothing materialised her for getting into marriage nor this beauty queen have shown a single sign of being afraid while living alone and on her own terms.
Although this actress never got married, but she is experiencing beautiful feeling of mother. Sushmita adopted two lovely daughters: Renee being the first was adopted in the year 2000 and Alisah in the year 2010.
 

Karan Johar


Karan aka KJo is most renowned filmmaker in Bollywood industry. Although he belongs to a reputable family of Bollywood world, his personal life had always been secretive until his biography was released recently in which he told many things about himself.
Karan has always been in news for his gay relationships. However, he himself never confirmed or refused to any of the allegations. One of his recent movies named ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ was hyped to be grounded on his personal life. Karan talked about unrequited love in the movie and remained unmarried in real life also. However, he recently became father through surrogacy and named the twins Roohi and Yash.
 

Sanjay Leela Bhansali


This director and filmmaker create magic on screen with epic and timeless love stories. He had always given best blockbusters to Indian cinema and been known for his perfection in work. Sanjay too denies for getting married and prefers being single. According to him, the love stories which he writes and put on screens fills the gap of being alone and this is the life he chooses and wants to live with.
 

Tabu


Tabu remains single till date even being in her late forties. She is one of the brilliant actresses in Bollywood who have mesmerised audiences with power pact performance and her choice of movies. Although she had been seen romancing in screens many times, still this actress had never accepted being getting married in real life. Tabu had been in relationship with Sajid Nadiadwala but they broke up due to personal issues. Her relationship with Nagarjuna was also in news for some time but both of them never accepted it publicly.
 

Lata Mangeshkar


Lataji also known as ‘Nightingale of India’ had been the source of inspiration for many people, but remains unmarried till date. This epic singer wanted to marry KL Sehgal and was also linked with Dungurpur and Bhupen Hazarika. But none of the issues were accepted officially.
In one of the interviews, she said that she had huge family to be taken care of and she considered her brothers and sisters more like her own children. The idea of marriage never came to her mind because she was too busy for it while taking care of her career and siblings.
 

Ameesha Patel


Ameesha had won many hearts starting from her debut blockbuster film, ‘Kaho na Pyar Hai…’. This actress however is been seen very less in silver screen nowadays. Ameesha had been reported being in relationship many times, but never got married or is seen planning for it.
She was also humoured about having an affair with Bollywood director, Vikram Bhatt while the duo met in the sets of the movie ‘Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage’. However, the couple broke up after the movie in 2008. She was also linked with a London based businessman named Kanav Puri but the actress denied to all those reports.
