Prabhu turns villain

Dancer-turned actor Prabhu Deva who made his acting debut with Salman Khan starrer ‘Wanted’ (2009) is all set to play the antagonist for his upcoming silent thriller ‘Mercury’.
The film will be directed by Karthik Subbaraj whose Tamil Musical ‘Gangster’ won two national awards for Best supporting actor and Best Editing at the award ceremony.
Reveals Prabhu Deva himself, “Mercury offers a very unique take in the thriller genre it also offers a huge scope to showcase one’s acting potential. With all this and an intelligent director like Karthik Subbaraj backing it, the experience was superb.’’
Also featuring Deepak Paramesh, Remya Nambeesan and Anish Padman in pivotal roles, the flick is slated to release on April 13.
