Singer Dhvani Bhanushali’s latest song ‘Dilbar’ came out recently and crossed 25 million views within 24 hours of its release. The song surpassed other ranking tracks and reached third on Youtube’s Billboard chart.
The young artist is overwhelmed by the response she has received on her song. She says, “It feels amazing. I’m thrilled that something like this has happened so early on, in my career. I feel blessed. It’s motivating.”
Dilbar is a revamped version of an iconic number from the 1999 film ‘Sirf Tum’ which featured Sushmita Sen. The recreated track is composed by Tanishk Bagchi and sung by Dhvani, Neha Kakkar, and Ikka which stars Nora Fatehi and John Abraham and will be featured in his Independence day release Satyameva Jayate. Speaking of Nora, Dhvani adds, “Nora has done a fantastic job. She is a great dancer.’’
The 20-year-old artist rose into fame from her stint in reality show ‘Rising Star’ and has play-backed for Ishtehaar from Welcome to New York and Veere from Veere Di Wedding. Dhvani has expressed her desire to sing for Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor.
She adds, “I want to sing for everyone. I think my voice will go well for Alia Bhatt because she is close to my age. Also, singing for Kareena Kapoor would be wonderful. My goal is to work with [AR] Rahman Saab. I also want to work with other composers and explore different genres.”
Her next single number with musician Guru Randhawa is going to come out soon.
