Sanjita Chanu Fails to Clear Dope Test

Commonwealth Games 2018 gold medal-winning weightlifter Sanjita Channu has been provisionally suspended by International Weightlifting Federation for testing positive for a banned anabolic steroid. Chanu had won gold after a total of 192 kg in the women’s 53 kg category at the Gold Coast Games in April. If confirmed, then she might lose her gold medal.
