7th Pay Commission | These Employees will get Pay Hike Twice a Year

Since the 50 lakh employees have been waiting for the minimum pay hike recommended by the 7th Pay Commission, the government has been working on other recommendations. Recently, the news popped up in the media circle that Haryana government has incremented the pay of guest teachers and lecturers by 20-25 percent.

Guest teachers and Lecturers get salary hike under 7th Pay commission 

According to the words spreading around media, the final decision has been made on the recommendation of the 7th pay commission regarding the pay hike of teachers and guest lecturers. While the employees are waiting for the basic pay hike, the Haryana government has decided on issuing the law to raise the salary twice a year for guest teachers and lecturers.
It was in the meeting that was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar when the decision of raising the salaries of JBT/Dance teachers, and masters and school lecturer was taken. According to the decision made on the recommendation of the 7th pay commission, the salaries of these staff members has been raised to Rs. 26,000, Rs. 30,000, and Rs. 36,000 respectively from 1st July 2018.  Education minister Ram Bilas Sharma was also present in the meeting when this raise was sanctioned under seventh pay commission.

These Employees will get increment twice a year 

The media reports have also mentioned that not only these employees are given the raise, but the agreement has been made stating these guest teachers and lecturers will be given raise twice a year under 7th pay commission. After this increment, the next increase will be effective from 1st January 2019. The amount of the increment will be equal to the increase in the cost of living index that will be announced by the Economic and Statistical Analysis Department, Haryana.

Still no confirmation on basic pay hike as per the recommendation of 7th pay commission

Where the good news struck guest teachers and lecturers, the 50 lakh employees waiting for a minimum pay hike still have no confirmation on the matter. Half the media is saying that government is planning to pass the recommendation of 7th pay commission whereas the other half is claiming that government has no plan to sanction the basic pay hike. There is still no authentic report of this and thus employees are still in a fix.
